On Saturday 30th June the Brownies joined
other members of Girlguiding Sleaford Division at our Diamond Jubilee
and Olympic event.
Arriving at Millfield Camp Site on a sunny afternoon we were officially
welcomed to the event by our Division Commissioner before competing in
a decathlon.
We were to visit 10 different cities
representing 10 different countries - London; Beijing; Helsinki;
Barcelona; Moscow; Tokyo; Salt Lake City; Paris; Sydney and Seoul and
we were challenged to complete a range of activities.
Here we are
visiting Salt Lake City and learning how to ski!
Here we are visiting Sydney where we had to transfer water 60 meters
from tank to tank in a relay race.
Before too long it was time for us to enjoy a picnic tea and it was
time for the Rainbows to head home and for the Brownies to join the
Guides in a camp fire with hot chocolate and marshmellows - YUM YUM.
